How SpillPro weir skimmers work
SpillPro weir skimmers are ideal for large oil spills with a significant oil thickness on the water's surface.
The skimmer is placed into the water in the spill area. The weir skimmer then acts like a dam, pushing the oil over a wall, forcing it to collect on the other side.
Via a hydraulic power source, a screw or salvage pump then delivers recovered oil to a collection tank. This can be situated on shore or on a vessel.
