How SpillPro self-launching skimmers work
Requiring just one vessel, SpillPro self-launching skimmer systems utilise word-first skimming technology. Their patented grooved discs create a vacuum-like capillary effect to recover oil at extremely high rates.
Once deployed, our self-launching skimmers can be towed at higher speeds than traditional systems. That means a greater volume of oil is encountered, allowing a unique oil-retaining hull to recover large volumes of oil.
The design incorporates a powerful, lightweight submersible pump. Hydraulic and discharge hoses are built into the sweep boom, eliminating external umbilical.
The complete package is highly compact, meaning easy transportation and rapid global shipment.
