More information
How SpillPro boom reels work
SpillPro supplies a range of boom reels that can be operated manually, electrically or from diesel-driven hydraulic power packs.
Suitable for inflatable and foam flotation booms, the reels can launch booms from the shore – on the ground or from a trailer. The boom can then be towed into position with a boat or BoomVane. However, SpillPro boom reels also allow offshore deployment from a vessel.
While we supply reels without brakes, we highly recommend including one. SpillPro believes your boom operators' safety should be first priority; including a brake ensures booms can be reeled-out quickly without compromising safety.
Product features
You choose the boom, we'll match it with the perfect reel.
Whether it's inflatable or foam-filled, SpillPro reels can handle any length of boom. We can also offer expert advice on the right boom reel for the operating environment – whether that's a ditch or deep sea.
SpillPro boom reels can be used to store:
- Fence booms
- Inflatable booms
- Self-inflating booms
- Foam-filled booms
- Tidal booms
And we offer reels in a range of materials to suit the storage and operating conditions. Choose from galvanised steel, aluminium, stainless steel or a mixture of metals. Whatever your choice, your SpillPro reel is designed and built to withstand corrosion and wear-and-tear.
