When your team is working with hazardous liquids, safe and compliant equipment matters. One simple addition is an IBC funnel. These are designed for use with Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) to make liquid transfers easier and safer.

Why IBC Funnels Make a Difference

Spill prevention

A well-designed funnel guides liquid directly into the container, reducing splash and overflow. This reduces the risk of contamination and worker exposure.

Support for compliance

The right equipment helps you meet standards such as AS 1940:2017 for safe storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids.

Worker safety

Features such as splash guards and a controlled-flow design help protect staff who handle hazardous chemicals.

Better efficiency

Faster, safer transfers mean less downtime and fewer errors in your liquid-handling processes.

How IBC Funnels Work

The funnel is made from HDPE, giving it strong chemical and corrosion resistance. It’s thermo-formed for durability and shaped to sit securely on top of an IBC frame without shifting while you pour. Raised ridges on the surface let you turn containers upside down and leave them to drain, which is especially handy for thicker liquids like oils or paint. You can also put saturated rags, towels or gloves on the funnel so any remaining liquid drains safely into the container. A built-in strainer sits in the IBC opening and catches larger particles before they enter the tank, helping keep the stored liquid cleaner.
